We hear a lot about affordability these days. I would like to share my views on affordability, and action that state government should take to help make Vermont dairy farming affordable once again. Affordability is a function of two factors: cost and available resources.
Vermont's official military museum has been given a valuable piece of history. A descendant of a Union soldier who was awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor has donated the medal -- actually two medals -- to the Vermont Veterans Military Museum and Library.
Last month a group called the Vermont Business Coalition targeted more than fifty Vermont House Democrats for defeat in the November elections. The legislators were accused being anti-business. But now, another business organization says it represents an entirely different point of view.
Where Vermont will get its electric power in the future is a question with many possible answers. And Friday the state's leading businesses heard about several options.
Ski Vermont is the official Web Site for Vermont Skiing and Snowboarding from the Vermont Ski Area Association. The Fairbanks Museum in St Johnsbury offers the only planetarium in the state of Vermont. Founded by Franklin Fairbanks in 1889, the Fairbanks Museum opened in 1891.
